Up and Coming
The new year has started a while ago and the staff at Harmsen & De Groot is getting ready for the new season –actually, we’re practically already in the middle of it and things are up and coming.

Some of us just returned last week from the Fruitlogistica in Berlin and as every year, we had three successful days in our neighbouring country catching up, networking and meeting new potential clients.
In 2012 we’re expecting loads of work and are looking forward to it! Luckily no catastrophic natural disasters have popped up out of nowhere at this moment (referring to the earthquake in Chile in 2010, the ice fields in the Baltic Sea in 2011, EHEC in Germany and the heavy storm in parts of Europe in the beginning of 2012) and we’re hoping for it to stay like this. However, the severe winter conditions in the Northern Hemisphere are becoming noticeable and who knows may contribute their share for yet other problems evolving.
We hope that, despite the fact that the economical crisis has been sticky throughout the recent past, this season will be prosperous for all our clients and business partners.
Time to celebrate!
In the course of our 30-year anniversary, we took a short trip to Barcelona, Spain to celebrate.

The trip was planned ahead for a while, so that during this weekend fruits & vegetables could be set aside shortly and everything happened in the name of the anniversary. More than 30 people attended and it was a great success: not only were memories remembered, but also new ones created -surely enough for the coming 30 years.
